One possible drawback to studying Spanish in Sevilla is the distinct accent that characterizes the Spanish spoken throughout Andalusia and much of southern Spain. This is not a very serious impediment for Spanish students, however, since language schools always teach neutral Castilian Spanish and the regional accent is easily understood with a little practice and experience.
