RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows you to subscribe to web feeds that deliver content updates on a regular basis. You can this how subscribe to the GSS Word of the Day to automatically and on a daily basis receive our word of the day in your prefered RSS Reader.

Including RSS Feeds on Your Personalized Homepage

The easiest way to subscribe to our RSS feeds is by adding the feed to your personalized homepage. Follow the appropriate instructions below for the homepage you use:

Add to Google Add our RSS feeds to your Google homepage or Google Reader by clicking on this button and following the simple on-screen instructions. You don't need a Google account to add our feeds to your Google homepage, but in order to use Google Reader you'll have to log in to your Google account (or create a new one).

Add to My Yahoo! By clicking this button you can add our feeds to your Yahoo homepage. If you don't already have a Yahoo account, you'll have to create one in order to access your homepage and start receiving our feeds.

Add to My MSN You'll also need an MSN account in order to have our feeds syndicated to your MSN homepage. Once you sign in, you'll be able to easily subscribe to our feeds.

Using A News Reader to Subscribe to RSS Feeds

Another way to sign up to our RSS feeds is by using news readers (also called RSS readers or aggregators), which are programs that check the feeds of websites you're interested in and automatically notify you when new information is added.

News readers can either be web-based (such as Google Reader) or downloaded to your computer. Here are a few that can be downloaded for free:

Once you've downloaded a news reader you can subscribe to our feeds in a number of ways. The easiest way is by dragging the orange RSS icon into your news reader's window. RSS You can also click on the RSS icon, copy the URL of the webpage it takes you to and paste that URL into your news reader as a new channel (another way to copy the URL is by right-clicking on the RSS icon and selecting the 'Copy Shortcut' function).
